Every year about 100 billion garments are produced.
20% of industrial water pollution comes from the treating and dyeing textiles.
By 2025, more than 2.8 billion people in 48 countries will face water stress or conditions of scarcity. Simultaneously our closets are packed to the brim and we continue to buy more because we have nothing to wear.

It is time to take inventory.

During self quarantine in April 2020 I’ve counted 493.5 (there is a missing glove) items of clothing in my wardrobe. I take the time to think about how I photograph each piece. It’s almost like reading your diary.
